A brilliant young Nigerian man, Tijesuni Moses, has achieved outstanding academic success, graduating with a First-Class degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ibadan.
He finished with an impressive 3.70/4.00 CGPA (Magna Cum Laude), a reflection of years of dedication, discipline, and academic excellence.
Tijesuni's Story and How She Did It
Tijesuni began his journey at the University of Ibadan in 2019, and from the very start, he maintained a strong academic record, consistently ranking among the top students in his class.
His commitment earned him the Dean’s Honour Award five times, showcasing his consistency throughout his undergraduate years. Beyond academics, he distinguished himself through leadership and professional development.
He was inducted as a Graduate Member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a milestone that symbolizes his growth, resilience, and readiness for the engineering profession.
Reflecting on his journey on LinkedIn, Tijesuni described it as far from easy. He faced physical challenges, academic pressure, and moments of doubt, periods that even kept him away from classes at times.

Yet, he remained anchored by faith, discipline, and a strong belief in growth. Tijesuni emphasized that excellence is intentional, built through consistency, quiet effort, and the refusal to give up.
Popularly known as “Megamind,” Tijesuni is recognized for his deep curiosity, strategic thinking, and ability to understand complex systems beyond the surface level.
For him, engineering goes beyond equations; it is about solving real-world problems and continuously evolving.
His impact extended into leadership roles on campus, where he served as Membership Lead, IEEE UI Student Branch (2023/2024), and Academic Director, Society of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Students (2024/2025)
Through these roles, he contributed to strengthening academic culture and supporting fellow engineering students. On the global stage, Tijesuni also made Nigeria proud.
Alongside his teammates, he represented the country at the Huawei ICT Competition 2024–2025 Global Finals in Shenzhen, China, where their team emerged with First Prize among participants from over 100 countries.
Looking ahead, he aspires to contribute to cutting-edge technological innovation, with dreams of working in advanced computing and AI-driven systems.
