Young African Lady who was called crazy for rejecting US admission 8 years ago to do business, bags huge American award with her company

A young and brilliant Nigerian Lady, Temitope Olatimehin has bagged a unique recognition by the United States Government for the outstanding performance of her business.

Temitope who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, South-West, Nigeria narrated that she had been offered admission to start her Master’s Degree in the United States 8 years ago, but had to reject the offer to focus on her business.

Her decision to reject the US university admission led to many backlashes from her friends and colleagues as they thought of her as being crazy to have decided to hang on to her newly established business instead of enrolling in the US university.

“To be honest, I had my fears too and I felt all the overwhelming feeling of fear, uncertainty and doubt but I faced them anyway. I left everything to face a business I had no prior experience nor expertise. Probably the biggest risk of my entire life yet. I was totally driven and passionate to win against all odds,” she said on Linkedin.
