A brilliant South African man named Sipho Sidwell Ngwenya has become the first person in his family to attain a Master’s degree after winning a scholarship to GIBS Business.
Sipho Sidwell Ngwenya started his higher education at IMM Graduate School in Johannesburg, South Africa where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce – BCom, Marketing/Marketing Management, General.
He was thereafter awarded funding opportunity to earn a Master’s degree in Business Adminstration. In March 2022, he completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration and became the first-ever person in his family to attain such educational height.
Speaking about his achievement on LinkedIn, Sipho Sidwell stated that there is no better feeling than achieving the success of investing in your personal growth. “I started this education journey in 2015 when I felt so much doubt about what I can offer in critical conversations. I had little faith in my ability to lead,” he wrote on LinkedIn.

“I felt this urgent need to develop that part of me in business not for me but to change the future of the Ngwenya family as to date I am the only one in my family who has had the privilege to further my schooling on this level and to graduate at one of the best schools in Africa,” he added.
