AFRICA | A brilliant young lady named Emenike Grace Ogechi has achieved remarkable academic success at the University of Ibadan after graduating with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and an outstanding 3.83/4.00 cumulative grade point average.
Her exceptional performance earned her recognition as the overall best graduating student of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Following her graduation, she was also formally inducted into the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, marking the beginning of her professional career as a pharmacist.
Grace's Story and How She Did It
Grace’s accomplishment is particularly notable because she belongs to the pioneer set of the PharmD program at the University of Ibadan.
Despite the rigorous nature of the six-year professional training, she maintained outstanding academic performance throughout her time at the university.
She began her journey at UI in 2019 and quickly distinguished herself as one of the top students in her class, consistently earning high grades until she completed her program in 2026.
Grace’s academic record includes four distinctions in major professional courses, reflecting her depth of knowledge and dedication to the field.

These distinctions include Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Social and Administrative Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology.
Beyond academics, Grace lived a well-rounded student life. She completed an internship at Kenix Pharmacy, where she gained hands-on experience in prescription handling and pharmaceutical practice, an important part of professional training in pharmacy.
Interestingly, Grace also demonstrated strong entrepreneurial skills during her studies. She co-managed a printing business called Star Prints, which she ran in partnership with a colleague while still in school.
In addition, she was an active member of her Christian fellowship, balancing academic work, business activities, and service.
Despite these commitments, she still graduated as one of the top students in her faculty.
Sharing her achievement on Instagram, Grace expressed deep gratitude for her journey and returned all the glory to God for helping her reach this milestone.
