A brilliant young lady named Goodness Ogeyi Odey has won the prestigious Chevening Scholarship to study for her master’s degree at the London School of Economics, United Kingdom.
Goodness Ogeyi who bagged her bachelor’s degree in Public Health Technology at the University of Calabar earned the exceptional feat of winning a Chevening full scholarship to continue her postgraduate studies.
Goodness shared her achievement on Linkedin celebrating her win of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship for her masters. She stated that she would be joining the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London to study for the degree.
She said she will be studying for her master’s in a joint/dual program in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Goodness shared that this is her first trial on applying for a scholarship and she is glad to be one of the top 2% selected from over 70, 000 applications globally and 14,000 from Nigeria.
She noted that she is looking forward to utilizing the learning opportunity to strengthen her knowledge and expertise in contributing to resilient, equitable, and responsive health systems in Nigeria and Africa.
Goodness said she is thankful for the platforms that shaped her academic, leadership, research, networking, and social impact journey. She mentioned that it was challenging to step into the spaces of learning, facing failures, acting with courage, and consistently excel.
