Young Nigerian Lady graduates as an Economist with 4.90 first-class, wins best student award

A brilliant Nigerian Lady named Jennifer Agbo has emerged as the best-graduating student of her set after earning an outstanding 4.90 cumulative grade point average out of a possible 5.00 points.

Jennifer Agbo who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Nigeria in Nigeria described her academic journey as challenging having to scale through many obstacles.

Celebrating her success as the best-graduating student of the University of Nigeria’s Economics Department and the Faculty of Social Sciences, Jennifer posted her experience on her LinkedIn page to inspire upcoming scholars.

“CGPA 4.9/5.0. Best Graduating Student in the Department of Economics at the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of the Social Sciences, UNN,” she wrote.

She narrated further that she had experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing work and studies stating that her biggest motivation was her parents’ financial burden.

“I have experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing work and studies. My biggest motivation was to alleviate my parents’ financial burden and ensure that my younger siblings would complete their education without constraints,” Jennifer wrote.

“Although I faced numerous obstacles, I persevered and emerged stronger. If I could weather the five most challenging years of my life, I am confident that I can overcome any adversity,” she added.

Jennifer thanked God for seeing her through her academic journey tagging her family, supervisors, lecturers and friends as her superheroes.

“This is only the beginning of the great feats that I am destined to achieve, and I am willing to put in the hard work and dedication to realize my aspirations. I eagerly anticipate the best that is yet to come,” she said.

In another inspiring story, Sbashle E. Ntuli from South Africa emerged as the first-ever person in her family to earn a Bachelor’s degree. She earned it in Economics.
