A brilliant Nigerian man named Olowe Tobi has graduated with an outstanding first-class degree in Biochemistry from the University of Medical Sciences Ondo state, Nigeria and at the same time earned a certificate in Product Engineering.
He also emerged as the best-graduating male student of the university in his set.
Olowe Tobi took to his LinkedIn page to celebrate his success saying he initially wanted to study medicine but he was admitted into biochemistry and he took up the course with little interest but he made sure to get good grades.
“I initially planned to pursue medicine, but I wasn’t successful in getting admission. I was granted admission to study biochemistry, which I accepted without the slightest sense of satisfaction”.
“Even though it wasn’t what I wanted, I eventually decided to ensure that I got the top grades in it while I was admitted”, he added.

Tobi further explained that while he was in his penultimate year of study, he followed up on successful people and found out that they did not succeed based on academic pursuit only, but they acquired a skill that pushed them forward in life.
Though he was discouraged about learning a skill while studying, he took up the challenge and made sure he succeeded in both fonts.
He mentioned that he gained knowledge of product design (UI/UX) while a student, completed a few courses, earned certifications, established his own portfolio, and secured a few jobs. He made sure to balance up everything and he did well.

Olowe Tobi thanked his parents, siblings, and his late grandmother who inspired him and supported him all through the course of his academic pursuit.
He also stated that the words of the CEO of SecureID Limited, Kofo Akinkugbe who gave the academic lectures saying left a mark in his heart.
“Whatever class of degree being conferred on you today, the important success factors for that future are linked to your personal vision, individual talent and the life skills you embrace along the way,” he stated.
Tobi also mentioned that out of all the 10 best-graduating students, the vice chancellor awarded the ceremony, he was the only Male and the other 9 were females.
Tobi hopes his experience inspires someone to become a valuable asset to his community in addition to being a good student.
