15-year-old boy graduates US university with two degrees before graduating high school, sets record as school’s youngest graduate

A 15-year-old boy named Tom Jordan has achieved the remarkable feat of graduating from Stark State College with two degrees before his high school graduation, setting a record as the school’s youngest graduate.

Tom Jordan earned her High School Diploma at GlenOak High School, United States, and at the same time bagged an associate degree at Stark State College, North Canton, in the United States. 

Tom graduated from Stark State College with a 3.39 grade point average with a degree in General Science. He also made history as the youngest graduate of Stark State College in the school’s 60-year history.

He also graduated from GlenOak High School with a 4.62 cumulative grade point. What really feels good for me is that it’s not really about the fact that I’m here, it’s about all the experience and hard work it took to get here,” Tom told GMA.

“If I were to go in and I just easily breezed through, this wouldn’t really mean anything to me. I was able to get to where I am by working as hard as I could,” he added.

Tom’s mother, Kathy Jordan said he began taking a pre-algebra course at Stark State College when he was 11, and by age 14, he was enrolled at the college full-time via independent study.

“He was able to take everything at Stark State that met all of high school criteria as well  PE in summer, and an arts credit,” Jordan said. “Pure mathematics is what he wants his doctorate in. He wants to teach that and research that. That’s his dream,” she added.

Tom stated that he plans to attend the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, to complete his undergraduate degree in maths as he aspires to become a mathematics professor.
