A determined young Nigerian lady named Oluwakemi Bayode has fought back successfully after being rejected in an attempt to study in the United States of America (USA).
Oluwakemi Bayode, a graduate of Caleb University, Lagos Nigeria, shared how she persevered despite being rejected. She said she was denied a Visa to the United States at the Nigerian Embassy.
Oluwakemi said she prayed and was so confident of securing the Visa but despite her being hopeful, she was not granted the Visa.
She mentioned that she battled an emotional breakdown as a result of the denial and entered into a depressed state which caused her to resign from her job as she could not handle work in the sad state.

However, Oluwakemi said she persevered, trusting God for a miracle, and overcame depression with the support of her family and friends.
Surprisingly, she won a full-ride scholarship covering both her tuition fees and living expenses at Ball State University in the United States. She added that she reapplied for the Visa and was granted the Visa five days after her application.
Oluwakemi is currently studying Molecular Biology and working as a graduate assistant at Ball State University in the United States.

In another story, a young African woman named Sibongile Sambohas fought back by setting up her own aviation company after she was rejected to work as a flight attendant.
Sibongile Sambo is a South African native who was rejected by South African Airways when she applied to be a flight attendant at the company. She was rejected because she did not meet the minimum height requirement for the role.
Not feeling discouraged, Sambo decided to set up her own business. She started her own aviation company, ‘SRS Aviation’, Africa’s first female aviation company.
