A brilliant Nigerian lady named Odunayo Ibitoye bagged a Law degree with first-class honors at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria and won 15 awards as the best-graduating student in her faculty.
Odunayo won 15 Academic Awards and University Senate Commendations as the best-graduating student of Olabisi Onabanjo University’s Faculty of Law. Sharing her success on Linkedin,she said that she is glad to have been part of the four graduate of the faculty with a first-class grade since its establishment in 1982.
”On the 31st of January I officially became a member of the exclusive 4 students in the history of Olabisi Onabanjo University Faculty of Law to graduate with a First Class since its establishment in 1982,” she said.
She said it was a journey of hard work, consistency, and a positive mindset adding that she gained admission with the resounding tune of “no one can graduate with first class in this faculty”.

Odunayo said that her father had always taught her that ”as a man thinks in his heart so is he” which made her block the negativity and remain focused. ”5 years later, I am walking into my future with over 15 academic awards and commendations combined,” she said.
She stated that her final year was tough, tiring and she was under a lot of pressure which made her cumulative grade point drop but she managed to top her class of over 220 students.
While at the university, odunayo was a member of Olabisi Onabanjo University Law Clinic, Law Student Parliamentary Council, and Energy Law Club (Co-Founder) and she still maintained an excellent grade.
Odunayo stated that she is grateful to God and my mentors adding that she is confidently telling her imposter syndrome “You can’t win”.
She stated that she is acknowledging her groundbreaking achievements with all her heart adding that it is more beautiful to see that her closest friends were part of the top 10 students of the Faculty. She expressed her gratitude to a senior colleague for his mentorship and guidance.
Odunayo mentioned on her Linkedin that out of her passion for gender equality at the age of 17, she created a social media account called the ‘Nigerianfeminist’. which spotlights issues surrounding gender inequality in Nigeria.
She also created a platform for women and young girls in Nigeria to discuss pressing issues about feminism in Nigeria adding that she honed her creative writing skills, social media management, and content creation skills through this means.
