A brilliant Nigerian lady named Chinonso Ikegwu has achieved exceptional success after she graduated as a Lawyer with a double first class grade and was awarded multiple scholarships to study for her masters degree in the United Kingdom.
Chinonso began her academic journey at Afe Babalola University Ado Ekiti Nigeria where she obtained her LL.B with a first class honors after which she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School.
She graduated from Law School with a first-class grade and was called to bar as a barrister and solicitor of the of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Her outstanding performance earned her multiple scholarship offers from different institution in the United Kingdom.
Chinonso received offers from prestigious universities like University of Reading, Queen Mary University of London, The University of Georgia, University of Cambridge, Cambridge university’s Newnham College and New York University’s School of Law.

She chose the New York University School of Law where she earned a Master of Laws program (LLM). Chinonso was one of the three (3) Nigerians admitted to the university’s law school in 2022.
Chinonso also received the Dean’s Graduate Award scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year. The scholarship is a merit-based award to full-time master’s students who have demonstrated significant academic promise or achievement in their respective fields.
She stated that a degree took her months with dedication and commitment. Chinonso expressed her gratitude to her family, friends, mentors, recommenders, and colleagues, who keep inspiring and encouraging her.
Having earned her degree, Chinono continued to achieve significant milestones in the United Kingdom. She sat for the New York Bar exam, which if she passed will earn her double bar admission.
