A brilliant Nigerian lady named Esther Nwwankwo who worked odd jobs to sponsor herself through school has finally graduated with a first-class Accounting degree at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Nigeria.
She was also awarded the best graduation student of her set. Esther earned her degree despite facing many challenges, through hard work and determination.
Sharing her achievement on Linkedin, Esther said she recalled her father telling her and her siblings that their education ended after the Senior Secondary School Examination because of their financial challenges.
Esther said she doubted her future, but her determination kept her moving forward. She said she began her journey to get educated by doing different menial jobs to save up for university.

She stated that she made progress and received support from her elder brother. With her achievement, Esther said she went from being the doubtful young girl years ago, who never thought she would see the four walls of any higher institution to become not just an ordinary National Diploma holder.
But also a first-class Accounting graduate as well as the Best Graduating Student(BGS) of her department from the University of Nigeria Nsukka.
Esther earned an OND in Accounting at the Polytechnic of Ibadan before she earned her bachelor’s. She said during obtaining the degree, she also became an AAT holder and Chartered Accountant.

She stated that she is glad to have faced her challenges with a positive and determined mindset, refusing to accept limitations.
Esther mentioned that she is happy to have made her family proud. She became the only female graduate and also the first Chartered Accountant in her family history.
She said being the university’s Faculty of Business Administration and Department of Accountingbest graduating student is a dream come true for her. She added that the awards were born out of hunger for success, fear of failure, determination, God’s grace, and her parents’ continuous prayers.
Esther said she is grateful to her Family, Mentors, Departmental and Faculty lecturers, Senior colleagues, wonderful Friends and Acquaintances. She also thanked Zenith Bank Plc and Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation for recognizing her efforts.
