AFRICA | A young Nigerian Lady named Omobolaji Ajibare has achieved outstanding success by earning a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing with distinction from the University of Salford, England.
She began her academic journey at Ladoke Akintola University in Nigeria, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2016. After a six-year gap, she decided to further her studies and enrolled in a postgraduate program at the University of Salford in 2023.
Reflecting on her journey, Omobolaji shared that when she first considered pursuing a Master’s degree, she had no clear direction and was unsure of what path to take. Despite the uncertainties, she took the leap, embracing the challenge, and now looks back with gratitude for making that decision.
Celebrating her achievement on LinkedIn, she expressed her joy and appreciation for the journey that led her to this milestone.
“For the first time in my life, I walked across a stage to collect my certificate scroll. It was a surreal moment. Watching others do it is one thing, but being in that spotlight was nerve-wrackingl,” she shared.
She expressed her excitement about shaking hands with the chancellor, a woman she deeply admires, as well as the Dean of the Business School, who is also a woman.
“Perhaps that’s what makes the University of Salford so remarkable—women in leadership. They are a force to reckon with, and I’m determined to become one too,” she remarked.

Omobolaji highlighted the invaluable friendships she made during her time at the University of Salford. She described these relationships as connections she will cherish for life.
Grateful for the support she received throughout her Master’s journey, Omobolaji reflected on how much she had grown. Balancing part-time work, content creation, and academic deadlines was challenging, but she credited God’s strength for her success.
For those contemplating a Master’s degree, she offered heartfelt advice: “If you’re thinking about it, you definitely need to get one from a good school. Plan well—not just financially, but mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
”A Master’s degree doesn’t just test your knowledge; it changes the course of your life and destiny. You get to decide if that change is for better or for worse,” she added.
