A brilliant 16-year-old Nigerian boy named Olamide Aderibigbe has achieved an outstanding score of 336 out of 400 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), placing him among the top scorers in the country.
Olamide, a student of Starville International School, Abuja scored a near-perfect 98 in Mathematics, 86 in Physics, 84 in Economics, and 68 in English—a remarkable performance by all standards.
According to the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, over 1.9 million candidates sat for the 2025 UTME, but only 12,414 scored 300 and above, with just 4,756 reaching 320 and above.
This shows just how exceptional Olamide’s performance is, especially considering the high rate of failure recorded this year.

In an interview with Punch NG, Olamide’s father, Mr. Niran Aderibigbe, expressed deep gratitude to God for his son’s success. He described the moment as a proud one for the family and shared that Olamide has always shown a passion for creative design and mathematics.
Looking forward, Olamide is hoping to study Architecture at either Covenant University or the University of Ibadan, depending on final admissions.
