18-year-old Isaiah Marquez-Green who survived a Mass shooting while in elementary school has won a full scholarship to study a Law degree at the University of Conneticut, United States.
Isaiah Marquez-Greene is a survivor of the Sandy Hook elementary school, United States shooting that happened in 2012. He lost his younger sister to the shooting and has been building a legacy for her remembrance ever since then.
Isaiah was surprised with a scholarship by a star Hockey player, James Trouba after a game by the New york rangers. He stated that the star hockey player was his mentor and he had always dreamed of meeting him.
He said he knew he was going to receive a jersey from the star player, Jacob Trouba, at the game. But what he did not expect was for Trouba to present him with a scholarship. The Hockey star awarded Isaiah a full scholarship from the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation partners provide young people in the Conneticut community with educational and skills opportunities, mentoring programs, and memorable experiences to enhance their lives.
After the Star Hockey player signed his jersey for Isaiah, He invited him to sit on the Rangers bench describing the young survivor as an amazing human. Trouba James shared that he is aware of Isaiah’s story and asked him what his plans for the future were.
After Isaiah responded that he wants to be a lawyer, Trouba James handed him a certificate.“This is for you,” he said. “It’s from the Garden of Dreams. It’s a scholarship for law school,” Trouba said.

“You’re going to graduate from college, you’re going to go to law school and you’re going to have no debt coming out of school, “I’m looking forward to what you accomplish in life, You’ve got a lot ahead of you,” he added.
Isaiah’s mother, Nelba Marquez-Greene shared a heartfelt moment with a clip of her son receiving the certificate on her Twitter
“This was a lot of beauty to hold at once. Thank you, NYRangers, for keeping your promises. We are officially a UConn family, Take good care of him, friends,” she tweeted.
Isaiah said he will be attending the University of Connecticut, United States adding that he has been accepted into the school’s special law program.
