AFRICA | A brilliant African Lady wins full scholarship to University of Oxford, set to earn masters degree.

A brilliant African Lady named Vanessa Nakate has been awarded the prestigious Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust Scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree at the University of Oxford.

Through this scholarship, Vanessa will be studying for a Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government.  She celebrated her achievement on LinkedIn, expressing gratitude for the support and opportunities ahead.

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship supports outstanding graduates and professionals from developing economies by covering 100% of course fees and providing a grant for living costs (of at least £19,237) for the duration of the program.

Applications for the scholarship are expected to open in April 2025. For more information on how to apply, check HERE.

As a climate justice activist from Uganda, Vanessa sees this scholarship as a testament to dedication, hard work, community support, and the grace of God. She is excited to learn from Oxford University, grow alongside fellow scholars, and contribute to creating a more just and sustainable world.
