AMERICA | A brilliant Lady named Slowendji Duroseau earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Florida International University (FIU).
Duroseau’s achievement made her the first-ever university graduate in her family. She took to Instagram to celebrate her achievement, expressing her gratitude for the journey and the growth she experienced during her time at FIU.
She reflected on how her years at the university shaped her not only as a student but also as a leader.
”My time here has molded me into the woman that I am today. I am thankful for the many opportunities that I was presented with to grow not only as a student but also as a leader,” she said.

Duroseu returned to Florida International University to pursue a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, continuing her passion for helping others.
”I’ve had a lifelong love for helping others and I’m blessed to have had an opportunity to refine that love to college students in helping them succeed within our education system,” she said.
Duroseau credited her success to hard work, a strong support system, and her unwavering faith adding that she is grateful for their contributions to her success. She said the future seems promising, and she is determined to continue her success.
In another story, A determined 22-year-old woman named Rashyah Weatherspoon has earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ferris State University, Michigan, despite enduring the harsh reality of homelessness.
Her achievement marks a personal victory and makes her the first person in her family to graduate from a university. Rashyah, from Grand Rapids, achieved this success through determination and the help she got along the way.
