AMERICA | A brilliant young lady named Kanyinsola Amoo-Peters has graduated from the prestigious University of Cambridge, England, with a Bachelor’s degree in Human, Social, and Political Sciences.
In addition to this remarkable feat, she has also secured admission to Harvard Graduate School of Education, United States, for her postgraduate studies.
Sharing her joy on LinkedIn, Kanyinsola expressed pride in graduating alongside a community of inspiring and exceptional Black women, many of whom she now considers family.
“To be in the same college cohort as 10 Black women has been a privilege like no other. Many of them have become my closest friends, and I could never have dreamed of such a blessing,” she wrote.

According to her, the journey at Cambridge was challenging. She and her friends faced tough institutional battles at the personal, college, and university levels.
Yet, in the face of challenges—especially in a society shaped by a legacy of racism and sexism—they built a strong, supportive community.
“These women inspired creativity, joy, and real change across the university. Our shared bond made the tough days bearable, and together, we made history,” she said.
For Kanyinsola, graduating from any university as a Black woman is a powerful achievement. But doing so at the University of Cambridge, one of the world’s most competitive and historically elite institutions, is a victory she holds dear.
“I couldn’t think of a better ending than graduating with women I consider sisters. I will be forever proud,” she added.
Looking ahead, Kanyinsola has been accepted to Harvard to pursue a Master’s degree in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology. However, she is still seeking funding to support her graduate journey.
She believes in the power of media, education, and storytelling to transform lives and inspire empathy.
“TV and film can change minds by offering people a window into realities they may never experience. I hope to build an organisation that combines this power with accessible education,” she said.
