AFRICA | Brilliant Lady emerges overall best graduating student of UNILAG with 4.93 first class degree, celebrates success.
A brilliant Nigerian lady named Temitomi Adewale emerged as the overall best graduating student of the 2023/2024 academic session at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Nigeria.
She achieved an outstanding first-class degree in Business Administration with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.93 out of 5.00. Taking to LinkedIn to celebrate her achievement, Temitomi described earning her degree as a significant milestone in her life.
Reflecting on her six years at UNILAG, Temitomi shared how the experience shaped her in ways she never imagined. Along the way, she built lifelong friendships, met inspiring individuals, and gained invaluable experiences that she will cherish forever.

One of the standout achievements of her academic journey was completing the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) program. Remarkably, she passed all stages of the ICAN exams in a single sitting, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant before completing her degree.
Temitomi’s hard work and dedication were rewarded with eight prestigious awards, including the best overall female graduating student at the University of Lagos and the best-graduating student in the Department of Business Administration.
She said these accomplishments are a testament to her perseverance and the unwavering support of the amazing people around her.
Temitomi expressed heartfelt gratitude to her family, her incredible course advisor, and all those who guided and encouraged her along the way. “Thank you for your guidance, encouragement, and belief in me. I couldn’t have done it without any of you,” she said.
She also extended her thanks to the University of Lagos for providing her with an academic and personal growth platform.
