AFRICA | A brilliant young Nigerian man named Adio Mojeed has made his country proud after earning a master’s degree in Software and Computing Engineering from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom.
He graduated with distinction and emerged top of his class. Adio began his Engineering journey at Kwara State University, Nigeria, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2022.
After completing his undergraduate studies, he developed a deep interest in software engineering, exploring different domains and modules that opened up new dimensions of technical learning.
These experiences, he said, not only enriched his knowledge but reignited his passion for the field.

In 2024, Adio took a significant leap by moving to the UK for his postgraduate studies. For him, this was not just an academic step—it was an opportunity to embrace more complex ideas and engage with advanced technologies that would help shape his future in the industry.
A year later, he completed his master’s degree with distinction. Reflecting on the achievement, Adio shared how the experience helped him refine his skills and dive into challenging projects that pushed his creativity and problem-solving abilities.
He is excited about applying what he has learned in real-world settings and is open to exploring new and exciting roles in the tech industry.
Adio expressed heartfelt gratitude to his professors, mentors, and peers for their support throughout his academic journey, saying their encouragement made all the difference.
In another story, a brilliant Nigerian man named Olumide Odeyemi has achieved an outstanding academic milestone by graduating with a first-class degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ilorin.
He obtained the degree with a remarkable 4.83 out of 5.00 cumulative grade point average, an achievement that earned the best graduating student of his department and placed him in the top 1% of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology during the 2020/2021 academic session.
