Despite the challenges, he remained hopeful, driven by the belief that “good things do not come easy.”
His persistence eventually paid off. Olumide was awarded two prestigious, fully funded scholarships to pursue his master’s degree abroad: the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) and the Türkiye Burslari Scholarship.
Of the two scholarships, he chose the GKS, which provided him the opportunity to study Electrical and Information Engineering at Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) in South Korea.
The Global Korea Scholarships (GKS) will cover tuition fees, 900,000 living stipends per month, flight costs, and accommodation fees. For more information on how to apply, check HERE.
In late 2024, Olumide relocated to South Korea and began a period of transition and personal growth. He spent his first four months studying the Korean Language Program while adapting to a new culture and preparing for the next academic phase.
He attributes his success to the support of mentors, friends, and the academic community that believed in his potential and helped open doors for him.
Looking back, Olumide reflects with gratitude on both the struggles and triumphs that have shaped his journey. With renewed strength and purpose, he is focused on making the most of the opportunities ahead.
