In an interview, Toheeb described his time at Lagos State University as far from ordinary. Beyond academics, he played active roles across academic, political, and religious platforms within and outside the university community.

He held several leadership positions, including 35th LASUSU Legal Director & Attorney General; President of NAMLAS LASU; Senator of the 33rd LASUSU SPC; Honourable member of LASULAWS SRC;

Toheeb was also Deputy Managing Partner and Deputy Head of Research at GFSC; Head of Research at LAWSAN Lagos State; Chairman of the 35th LASUSU Anniversary Committee; Legal Director of FEDSA LASU; and Chairman of FEDSA CDC.

“Balance between leadership roles and academics is a myth. It’s about priorities, sacrifice, and strategic choices,” he explained.

Sharing advice with younger students, Toheeb emphasized the importance of personal development and character building.

“The goal isn’t to win the big one day; it’s to win every day. Excellence attracts opportunities. Real gratification comes from growth and knowledge, not recognition or reward,” he said.

Toheeb also revealed that he managed academic pressure through prayer, long walks, and listening to music, practices that helped him maintain mental clarity and focus throughout his demanding journey.
