A young Nigerian man named Fisayo Agboola has emerged as the best-graduating student of his set after bagging a first-class Civil Engineering degree at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.
Fisayo Agboola bagged his bachelor of science degree in Civil Engineering with first-class honors from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun in Nigeria. He was the best-graduating student in the Civil Engineering department of the 2016/2017 academic year.
Fisayo also won the best-graduating student in two sub-disciplines within the civil engineering department; environmental and geotechnical engineering.
He shared his academic achievement on his Twitter page stating that he remained consistent with his academic accomplishments. He said he was the best-graduating student in his high and the best-graduating student in his primary school.

Fisayo mentioned that he encountered difficulties in the university, including the complexity of certain subjects, time management, and balancing academics with extracurricular activities.
“Like anyone on an academic journey, I encountered challenges along the way. These include the complexity of certain subjects, time management, and balancing academic pursuits with other extra-curricular activities,” he said.
He said he was able to overcome the challenges by making use of some strategies such as effective time management, seeking assistance from teachers or peers as necessary, dividing complex subjects into smaller, more manageable segments, providing tutoring to colleagues, and maintaining a growth mindset.
