A young Lady from Jamaica named Tuwanie Morgan has bagged a Computer Science degree with first-class honors at the University of Technology, Jamaica, Kingston.
Tuwanie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Computing with a major in Computer Science with first-class honors at the University of Technology Jamaica, Kingston, an achievement she shared on LinkedIn.
Tuwanie’s accomplishment is a gift to her younger self, the girl who, years ago, was a quiet observer in the classroom, hesitant to participate in discussions or take on leadership roles.
”This distinguished achievement is for the girl who years ago sat quietly at the back of every classroom, never participated in discussions, and would turn down every opportunity to lead,” she said.

Tuwanie transitioned from being that girl into empowering her classmates, and represented the School of Computing Students’ Council as Academic Vice President.
She also pitched award-winning ideas to stakeholders across the Caribbean and became an advocate for women in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
Throughout the academic journey, she often questioned her abilities; however, through perseverance, she overcame these doubts and achieved her goals. Tuwanie attributed her success to God’s guidance.
In another story, a brilliant young girl named Saniya Lyles has graduated from Middle College, Greensboro with a 4.50 GPA, earned scholarships totaling $500,000 from 17 universities in the United States, and dedicated her success to her late mother.
Saniya Lyles is a teen from North Carolina who tragically lost her mother months before entering her final year of high school. Determined to honor her mother’s memory, she made a personal commitment to make her mother proud by excelling in her final grades.
Saniya was accepted into 17 colleges and received more than $500,000 worth of scholarships. ”I’m super excited. I’m a tiny bit nervous, now that, I guess, I’m preparing for college and that my experience at high school is wrapping up,” she said. Read more about Saniya HERE.
