Young Lady finally graduates as a Lawyer after studying for 9 years instead of 6, graduates with first-class grade

A brilliant Nigerian Lady named Mekowulu Precious Chibuzor has finally been called to the bar after spending nine years of academic journey in a bid to achieve her dream of becoming an attorney.

Chibuzor obtained her bachelor’s degree (LL.B) at Chukwuemeja Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Nigeria with second-class honors before she proceeded to Law School. Sharing her achievement on Facebook, her friend, Chukwugozie highlighted all the challenges she faced.

Chukwugozie stated that after high school, Chibuzor tried gaining admission to study law but she was denied. This made her enroll for a two-year Diploma in Law at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria.

Upon earning a diploma in law, Chibuzor tried to gain admission for her bachelor’s but was denied the second time. The unfortunate situation delayed her admission for a whole year.

With determination and resilence towards achieving her goal, Chibuzor started her admission process and fortunately, she was admitted to study Law at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Nigeria.

Chibuzor maintained academic excellence at the university, and participated in extracurricular activities and also served in Leadership positions. She was elected to be the Law Students Association (Lawsa) Vice President, and then she became the first Female Lawsa President.

She graduated from the Nigerian Law School Lagos with an outstanding first class honors. Chibuzor was the only student from her set in the university who got first class in Nigeria Law school.


Celebrating her achievement, Chibuzor wrote on Facebook that the success marked the end of the process of becoming a lawyer stating that it was not easy but it was worth every sacrifice and sweat.

”“Today I will be called to the Nigerian Bar, the largest bar in Africa as BARRISTER AND SOLICITOR OF THE SUPREME COURT OF NIGERIA. Today marks the end of the process of becoming a lawyer. It wasn’t easy but it was worth every sacrifice and sweat. Better is the end of a thing than its beginning thereof,” she wrote.


In another story, a young lady named Bukunmi Kolawole has finally been called to the bar as a first-class Lawyer after studying for 9 years straight instead of 6.

Bukunmi obtained her bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria with first-class honors before she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where she was called to bar as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

She graduated from the Nigerian Law School with a first-class grade. Bukunmi celebrated her achievement on LinkedIn, stating that her call to the bar signifies the completion of a 9-year journey that should have taken 6 years. Read more about Bukunmi HERE.
