A brilliant Nigerian Economist named Damilare Gideon Ojo has won the prestigious Chevening Scholarship to study for his master’s degree at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
Damilare Ojo graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. He shared his achievement of winning a Chevening full scholarship to study for his master’s on LinkedIn.
Damilare expressed his excitement at receiving the scholarship among the 70,000 candidates from around the world who had applied for it. He was awarded a fully funded scholarship to study for his master’s at the University of Liverpool.
He said that he will be doing the Master’s program in Economics at the University of Liverpool as he has always had a keen interest in monetary policy formulation and the research that goes into it.

Damilare stated that monetary formulation will be his main area of focus noting that he looks forward to learning from faculties that contribute to monetary policy research and formulation for advanced economies’ policymakers.
He expressed his gratitude to his mentors and friends for their guidance, support, and encouragement at various stages of the application process. He added that they helped him with vetting his essays and they prepared me with a mock interview.
Damilare said he is anticipating the upcoming year and he hopes it is filled with excitement. He stated that he looks forward to the myriad opportunities and adventures it promises to bring.
